As of this afternoon I have 3 of our 5 sewer systems operational. The last 2 should be in use tomorrow. We’ve been asked what tools you should bring. Screw guns with multiple style bits, rakes wheelbarrows or carts and most important your support for those who need help. We will meet at the Rec. Hall at 9:00 am Saturday for coffee and donuts. We will divvy out assignments at that time designate crew leaders etc. we will have lunch at 1:00 pm. We will be grilling burgers and hot dogs. If you wish to bring a side dish or chips, please do. Your response has been overwhelming and is much appreciated. Cindy and Heidi are busy finding temporary sites for our displaced people, please be patient while they get this figured out.

Moose Lake once again is getting by with dumping raw sewage into the river. So there is going to be contaminated standing water. Please leave your children at home if possible. There is going to be a lot of equipment and vehicles moving around, and kids are curious and could potentially be in harms way. The pool, snack bar and Rec. Hall will not be open for use this weekend. All of our time and efforts will be towards cleanup and getting the pieces put back together. Most of the power has been restored to the sites except those along the river and the very south end of the park.

The water is receding quickly, we just need some sun and wind to dry things out. The affected sites are very soft, so please watch your step, be aware of fire pits etc. that still may be under water. We want and need everyone to be safe, don’t lift more than your capable of, watch your fingers and toes, and if we have any medical people, Drs., nurses, Emt’s or first responders in the park, please let us know. Bring your medical bags if you have them.

The staff and owners are dedicated, determined and along with your help, get Timberline put back together and have some semblance of normalcy as fast as we humanly can.

Thank you,

Vern
